Martin Luther King Jr. was born on January 15, 1929. He will forever be remembered for his work to achieve equal rights for Black Americans through nonviolent resistance. Probably his most notable speech given on August 28, 1963, to a massive crowd of civil rights marchers at the Lincoln Memorial is heard and remembered by millions of people across the globe.
