My name is Amy and I am 1 of the 3 Basic Brunchcast podcasters. At brunch I will always pick potatoes (in any form!) as my carb to complement my (hopefully bottomless) mimosas! That and coffee, you will rarely see me without a coffee. I don’t like to share my screen time report because I do a LOT of scrolling - Twitter, Instagram, Zillow (nope, not buying a house…just getting random decorating ideas), Target, and the list goes on which is why the screen time report is top secret! My 2021 goal is to do a pull-up, so I’m in starter mode with an over the door pull-up bar and a LOT of bands to help me bounce/pull-up. My husband and I can’t figure out how our 5 lb Yorkie always leads the way on walks and manipulates us for treats on repeat. I might be a puppy pushover. I moved to NC after only driving through the state one time and we picked our first apartment online and moved here “for a year” that turned into many years. Now I never want to leave and sometimes I even say y’all. I’m competitive in all areas of my life except for working out. You can find me in the back row of any gym class (pre-covid) and now at the bottom of the leaderboard (AmyRoseAllDay) on Peloton just out doing my never an athlete thing! Preferably in lululemon. Never an athlete, but always a fan of cute workout clothes!

My name is Chelsie & I'm 1/3 of the Basic Brunchcast trio. I love everything brunch, particularly mimosas. I despise Bloody Marys, they are not my thing. The crying laughing emoju is my favorite emoji and I have recently been informed by Gen Z that means I'm old. I am originally from Utah and learned how to ski when I was 3 years old. I am the oldest of 2 girls. I am extremely close to my niece and am now her part time virtual learning teacher. I was a Social Worker for 5 years before changing to a career in a different industry. In 2019 I traveled to 4 different countries: Italy, France, Barbados and Spain. I love spending hours browsing Airbnb to find the most adorable vacation homes or awkward shower photos (yes, that's a thing). Those closest to me know I usually have a meal in my purse. The meal typically includes chicken & the Basics lovingly refer to that as 'purse poultry'.

My name is Travis & I’m 1/3 of the Basic Brunchcast trio. My favorite brunch menu item is an Eggs Benny but hold the pork and sub for tomato, lox or a crab cake! And 1 bottomless mimosa please! I grew up in a large family (6 kids) so the first time I experienced true privacy I was 18 because I moved into my first apartment and then I completely freaked out because I had never actually been alone. I was extremely transient in my 20s and lived in DC, Maryland, Los Angeles and Memphis before returning to North Carolina and I have worked in NC, VA, MD, DC, TX, NY, MN, CA and TN. I absolutely love the beach; it’s my literal favorite place, any beach, as long as it’s warm and sunny – but I’m absolutely terrified of the ocean; even ankle deep and I will start to tear up. I am married and my husband proposed to me before gay marriage was even legal in North Carolina, it’s weird and miraculous all at once to say that fact out loud. I have WAY too many hobbies and sometimes it means I don’t finish things I start; I just want to be a part of it all – I love music, I play the piano, love to paint, design and sew, work on this podcast, love to decorate – basically if it’s creative I wanna do it. I am currently addicted to Animal Crossing New Horizons – it’s not good people. I mean it’s good, but like, not good. And I am HORRIFIC at returning text messages – not because I want to be a bad friend but because I’m always busy I end up responding in my head but not in real life and then days go by and when I notice I’m like “Oh my god.” So if you text me, DM me, private message me, WhatsApp me, Snapchat me, etc and I don’t respond that’s why.
