J has literally no qualifications to be hosting a music podcast. They listen to a lot of songs with less than 1000 plays on Soundcloud, and [sometimes incorrectly] assume others do the same. J likes vocal splicing, SOPHIE and everything PC Music, jersey club, major sevenths, Shawn-Wasabi-type-shit (TM), guilty pleasure night core remixes, Soundcloud-based collectives, and painting their nails. If you don’t know what any of those terms mean, J probably couldn’t name the lead singer of Radiohead, and definitely can’t name a single song by Red Hot Chili Peppers, so… yeah.
M has literally no qualifications to be hosting a music podcast. However, she did take a music theory class one time, so, you know, there’s that. M loves anything with some short and sweet piano riffs, hollow woody synths, basslines that "add movement," and she also probably won’t get tired of reggaetón, samba, or any remotely-African-diasporic rhythmic patterns for the foreseeable future. It might seem like she has a more well-rounded music taste than J, but she's really just compensating for all of J's deep SoundCloud cuts.
